Here's another Language app review for you!
This time I have been using Speaky to improve my fluency and impress the natives.
The idea is great. Connect with anyone, anywhere who is interested in Language exchange.
Once I had got past the accepting and inviting users and weeding out the trolls and haters I actually had a few good conversations. It's such a shame that when I put up a photo of myself, which I hate doing, the comments from men came rolling in about my looks. Good and bad. I am sure they dont check profiles because mine specifically says "Not looking for a relationship." Or they do and still decide to try their luck. Wether you like my looks or not makes absolutly no difference to why I am here... to learn a language. I quickly changed to an avitar.
One very good feature of this app is the correction tool within the chat. I can correct my chat partners english and they can correct my on their narive language. Its makes using the app worthwile as you get instand feedback.
With all that being said I have removed this app from my phone because I felt it was too distracting from my own life with constant notifications even when I switched them off. Unfortunatly it is not for me and I think it needs improvement.
